In partnership with Electric Ireland we developed a brand new feature to perfectly evoke the Electric Ireland Smarter Living campaign message: “Simple ideas that make life better”. The simple idea was to allow readers to choose their news with the opportunity to customise their news feed.
The attractive personalisation feature invites users to choose from a wide range of their favourite topics, such as Irish News, International, Business, Technology, Family, Going Out, Living, Politics, Opinion, and all the sports. Their very own personalised news feed is then filtered according to these preferences.
Engagement figures for the Electric Ireland campaign showed that personalisation proved popular with users who took advantage of the enhanced and sophisticated news experience in high numbers across desktop and app.
Campaign impact was reinforced with 10 desktop HPTOs and three 5th position social ads emphasising the Smarter Living/Simple Ideas message.
