Allianz Ireland was looking for interesting activations and opportunities to leverage the widespread interest in the 1916 Centenary celebrations.
Allianz have long standing relationships with a range of sports organisations and sports stars both internationally and locally and the campaign we developed blended the marking of the centenary with the brand’s well established connection to sports.
A series of articles focusing on the most important Irish sportspeople of the last 100 years ran every week for 16 weeks as native pieces on The42.ie and culminated in bundling of the content into a magazine. #16 for 16 included GAA players, Olympians, boxers, golfers and others who were selected for the list because they were remarkable in their particular sport. The common link throughout was that every person on the list dared to dream which connected the content seamlessly with the Allianz message that “the world belongs to those who dare”.
Engagement levels were particularly high for this campaign as evidenced by well above-average time spent on page. Commenter’s were active and articles were shared widely across social media.
